How to cook “Salmon Pasta”

Wow your family with this easy and very yummy “Salmon Pasta” recipe! Here is Rich’s version of the recipe, feeds family of 6 with some leftovers (cut recipe in half if you have less people to feed: INGREDIENTS: 2 lbs of Bow Tie pasta 1/4 cup of extra-virgin olive oil 4 cloves of garlic 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes 3 cans of whole peeled tomatoes with their juice 2 lbs of Salmon, cut into 1/2 in. dice 1 Qt. heavy cream 1 pkg. of chopped fresh basil PREPARATION: Remove skin and debone Salmon fillets. Put olive oil, garlic and red pepper flakes in a large skillet over med-hi heat and cook until garlic changes color. Add tomatoes, when they begin to bubble turn heat down to med-low and cook about 20 min. Cook bow tie pasta in 4 qts of boiling water. Add salmon to skillet with tomato sauce and let it cook a bit, then add the cream, cook over med heat until the cream has reduced by half. Stir in basil and remove from heat. When pasta is cooked al dente, drain it and pour sauce in the the noodle pot. Taste for salt and spiciness and serve at once. Also good to use Penne pasta. Raw fish with rice and vegetables (Hwedupbap)

Fresh raw salmon, tuna (or frozen) and flying fish roe (orange), 2. 1 carrot, 2 cups of lettuce, ½ cucumber (half cup), 7 or 8 sesame leaves, 3. 2 green onions, 3 cloves of garlic, 2 ts of juice from ginger, 4. 1 package of tofu, bean paste, dried anchovies, laver (kim), sesame oil, 5. sesame seeds, soy sauce, sugar, hot pepper paste, and vinegar 1. Cook rice. 2. Make soup: In a pot, put 5 cups of water and 8-10 dried anchovies (remove heads and intestines) and boil for about 10 minutes. Remove the anchovies from the pot and add 1½ tbs bean paste. Lower the heat. Dice ½ package of tofu (about 1 cup) into 0.5-1cm cubes and add them to #2 and boil a few more minutes and turn the heat off. Chop up 1 green onion. Sprinkle the chopped green onion over the soup just before serving with hwedupbap. 3. Prepare a platter of ingredients for hwedupbap: Cut a medium size carrot into julienne strips and put it into a small bowl. Sprinkle a few pinches of sugar and salt into the carrot strips. Mix it and set it aside. Slice some lettuce (2-3 cups) thinly and put it on the platter. Slice ½ cucumber thinly (1 cup) and put it next to the lettuce on the platter. Put the carrot on the platter after squeezing slightly to remove excessive liquid. Slice 5-7 sesame leaves thinly and put it on the platter. 4. Make “cho jang” (hot spicy sauce): Mix 3 tbs hot pepper paste, 1 tbs soy sauce, 2 tbs vinegar, and 1 tbs sugar in a bowl using a spoon. Add 1 chopped green

How does one start buying more from a farmers market?

I’d like to support local farmers… however, with a limited amount of money left over after paying bills, it’s hard to justify a .00/lb tomato at the farmers market over a .99/lb tomato at the local grocery chain. Or a dozen eggs from cage free hens at the supermarket is about .99 whereas at the markets, more around . Meat prices are the same, where I’d love to purchase grass fed beef, but I’m paying nearly twice as much. Heck, I picked up a whole wild Atlantic salmon for .99/lb from a Kroger store. Can’t get that from the local fisherman. What’s best to start out with?

What is the best way to cook salmon without using the broiler?

I am currently living abroad and i just bought some salmon, i dont beleive the broiler works in my oven so im not sure what the best way to cook it is. Also the temperature settings are on a scale of 1-9 as opposed to degrees, please keep this in mind when you give me your ideas.
